If Everyday Was Like This, How Would I Grow?
As I woke up this morning, the birds were chirping, the sun was shining and the sky clear. Buddy the WonderDog was eager to greet the day with me, and JesseDog was waiting patiently for her breakfast.
It’s 55 degrees outside, 62 degrees inside. A perfect chill has been captured in the house and that will ward off the 85 degree heat predicted for later.
I have nowhere to rush to, but plenty that needs to be done.
Everything was right with the world at that very moment — still is, as a matter of fact.
And I thought to myself, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every day could be like this? All sunshine, perfect temperatures, no rain.”
And my very next thought, “But if it didn’t rain, how would anything grow?”
And then right after that, “And if I didn’t have pain, how would I grow?”
I think I’m going to think about that for a while.
